Sequences
A sequence is a named ordered list of cue IDs. Sequences appear in the Compose Sequences view and are useful for organising large shows into named acts or scenes. Sequences themselves do not fire automatically; they are an organisational construct.
Schedules
Schedules are cron-style time patterns stored in the project. Each schedule has:
- id — UUID
- name — friendly label
- days — array of weekday numbers (0=Sun … 6=Sat)
- startTime — HH:MM in 24-hour format
- enabled — boolean
When the configured time matches and enabled is true, HelmOS's scheduler fires any cue with a matching event-schedule hat.
Common Schedule Patterns
| Pattern | Days | StartTime |
|---|---|---|
| Open every day at 7 PM | [0,1,2,3,4,5,6] | "19:00" |
| Weekend matinee | [0,6] | "14:00" |
| Daily warm-up | [1,2,3,4,5,6,0] | "18:30" |
Internal Mechanics
HelmOS uses node-cron to evaluate schedules. Each schedule object compiles into a cron expression at project load time. Schedules survive HelmOS restarts (they re-arm from the loaded project).
Schedule Suspension
Schedules are subject to the standard cue-fire gates: scheduled cues do not fire while Maintenance Mode is active or while HelmOS is unlicensed. The schedule still tracks time; it just suppresses the trigger.
