Accessing Cuemaster

On any device on the venue Wi-Fi, open a browser and navigate to http://<helm-ip>:3000/. The recommended operator station is a 10-inch or larger touchscreen tablet mounted next to the Bridge operator panel.

Show Mode

Cuemaster's default state. The topbar shows the Northstar mark, the product name, a live status indicator, the Helm IP, and an E-Stop button. Four tabs in the main area:

TabPurpose
OverviewStat cards (Nodes Online, Show Runtime, Active Alerts, Cues Fired) and recent activity
CuesEvery cue with its hat type, derived target, and a GO button
NodesPolaris board roster with IP, zone, firmware, last-poll age, status
ActivityLive event log — last 50 events

Entering Maintenance Mode

Turn the maintenance key on the Polaris Bridge operator panel to the ON position. The Bridge firmware sends a UDP bridge-input event to HelmOS with role: 'maint-mode', value: 1. HelmOS aborts all running cues, broadcasts STOP to every node, and broadcasts a maintenance change over WebSocket. All connected Cuemaster clients swap to the amber Maintenance HMI within ~100 ms.

Maintenance HMI Tabs

TabPurpose
InterlocksSafety chain visualisation: E-Stop, Helm Online, TrueNorth Up, Min Nodes, Project Loaded, Zones Clear, Maint Key
Zone DiagnosticsPer-zone node count, average latency, fault state
Actuator TestManual fire buttons for individual outputs
I/O StatusLive HIGH/LOW state of every channel
FirmwareBundle cards + OTA push controls

Emergency Stop

Two paths, both immediate:

  • Press the red mushroom button on the Bridge — physical E-Stop, fastest path
  • Click the red E-Stop button in the Cuemaster topbar — software path, requires browser focus

Both abort every running cue and send UDP STOP to all Polaris nodes.

Loading a New Show

In Maintenance Mode, click ⬇ Load Show in the topbar. Drag a .nsss.compose into the modal. The new project becomes active. Cuemaster's Firmware tab will populate with the new bundle.
