Daily Open Checklist

  • Power on the Helm NUC. Wait ~30 seconds for HelmOS to boot.
  • Power on attached audio, video, and lighting gear.
  • Open the operator tablet to Cuemaster (http://10.0.0.1:3000/).
  • Verify the topbar shows "Show Active" with a green indicator.
  • Verify the Nodes tab shows every expected board as Online.
  • Verify no Active Alerts on the Overview tab.
  • Confirm the Bridge maintenance key is in the OFF position.
  • Press the GREEN Show Start button on the Bridge.

During the Show

  • Watch the Active Alerts count on the Overview tab — anything above zero needs attention
  • Activity log fills with cue-fire events in real time
  • If a guest reports a missed effect, check the Activity tab — the sensor event will be logged even if the cue failed

Emergency Stop

Two paths, both effective:

  • Press the RED mushroom on the Bridge — physical, instant
  • Click the red E-Stop button in the Cuemaster topbar — software, requires browser focus

Both abort every active cue and broadcast STOP to every Polaris node.

End of Day

  • Press the YELLOW Show Reset button on the Bridge — ensures no cues are mid-flight.
  • Power off A/V gear.
  • Leave the Helm NUC running — it idles at minimal CPU.
